The Auto Insurance Fraud Task Force, an Innovations in American Government Finalist, presented before the National Selection Committee in May 2009. This collaborative effort of the Lawrence Police Department has reduced vehicular insurance fraud and has saved city residents over $15.5 million in annual insurance premiums.
